Millions of light years away from our own Galaxy is the Immortal Universal Alliance of Galaxia. Located in the heart of the Universe on the border between the light and the dark sits Castle Phantos. Majestic towers of light and dark spiral miles into the air. Upon the towers, banners of the house of Phantos flutters in a light breeze. On a day when the winds are strong, the proud emblem of an ancient bloodline shows the colors boldly for all to see. For coutless centuries, the elders of Phantos were the guardians of peace and justice as well as the protectors of the powers that held the universe together. But soon a decision was to be made by the supreme council of elders. A decisive decision had to be made for the future of their worlds. For the elders had come to the time where they had to transfer their powers to a younger generation of warriors. Traditions of guarding and protecting the universe from evil was to be handed down to these specially trained warriors. Phaedra, the sorceress Queen of Galaxia sat in the heart of the prayer chamber in deep thought and meditation with the mysterious universal creator known to them only as Jehovah. The council was going to be put on another mission, she could feel it.
"I am aware of your worries, Phaedra, but there is nothing to fear." Jehovah said, "With the overrun of evil in the universe, the time has come for the next generation of fighters and defenders."
"These new warriors, they will not be our children?" Phaedra asked, "I do not understand. I thought our children were going to pick up where we left off when the time was right by your calculations."
"Evil has spread throughout the galaxy." Jehovah replied, "I can not interfere with this directly, but I can indirectly. We have to spread the power of the light just as fast. You and the other Guardians will continue on as advisors and guidance, but you must be careful in all that you do after the changes have been made."
"We will do as you command, Mighty One." Phaedra said, "We will not fail you or your plan for the future. I am ready to take in what you want done and relay it to the others."
In the heart of Castle Phantos, in the chamber of decisions sat the council of elders in crystalline seats in the shape of eggs though hollow on one side. Dressed in shimmering robes with golden embroidery, the council waited for the supreme elder to make her grand appearence. She was a woman of great wisdom and charisma who had single-handedly brought many solar systems together into the I.U.A.G. The council looked upon her expectantly as she entered the room with her advisor, a young woman cloaked in white carrying a large platnum book engulfed in eldrich runes of power. The council looked upon her as she took her seat and saw a woman who spent many sleepless nights searching for an elusive answer to a great problem. She appeared tired, her appearence was somewhat unkempt as she sagged in her seat. Worry lines marred her beautiful face and her eyes were bloodshot. Members of the council looked at each other questionly. She stood up letting her eyes linger on each member.
"I am relieved that all of you were able to get here on such short notice for this major emergency meeting." she announced, "I realize that it is late and you are all wondering why I called you here."
"The thought had crossed our minds, Your Majesty." Kaelar of Ethernia replied, "We all received your missive bearing your personal seal calling us to attend an emergency meeting. It sounds very important."
"It is very serious I am afraid." Phaedra concurred, "For centuries, we have been the guardians of peace and justice, but we are not as young as we used to be. As you are all aware, by Jevarah's edict, it is time to pass our lifeforce of power to a younger generation of guardians. The universal change is upon us all."
"So you are saying that we have outlived our usefulness and are no longer needed to protect the universe from evil?" Darius of Cerecia demanded clenching his fists.
"I am not saying that at all, Darius." she replied, "He is proud of the work we have done, but are no longer required to do anymore. We have fulfilled our destinies and now we can live." She looked at each member of the council allowing her words to sink in. "Our children have been training and are now ready to take our place so that we can rest."
Kaelar studied the woman at the end of the table for a moment. "I can see that you have more to tell us Phaedra." He said, "We have known each other for countless centuries, you can tell us."
"Observant as always, Kaelar." she replied, "By Jevarah's edict, before we retire for good and move into council status, we are to bring into exsistance a new breed of defenders. They will be known as Universal Knights, the first born being the strongest and the most powerful. There are to be twenty-five to thirty members. It has been ordained that the first born will hold the planetary, elemental and cosmic energy of their respective worlds. From this moment on, we are known as the Universal Galaxian Alliance."
"The transfer is complete, Your Majesty." her assistant Audros said, "All that remains is the task of summoning the Universal Knights who will be the new defenders."
Standing Audros moved away while Phaedra and the council of Guardians walked down the steps and took their places at the summoning circle. As Phaedra took her place completing the circle, they raised their hands high in the air, then let their arms fall evenly to their sides six inches from the member beside them. The family insignias began to glow. Runes of power spiraled from the insignias igniting the ancient symbols as each member began to focus their cosmic powers. Phaedra began to recite the incantation pulling forth the dagger that shown with an inner light and placed the dagger on her palm.
"I Phaedra, daughter of Keelos, born from the house of Phantos." She said, "I call forth the powers of this unity to bring forth before us the first born child male and female alike."
Bolts of energy danced between their hands as it rippled though their beings. Their clothes flapped in the wind, blowing hoods from many of the members heads. A ringing in the walls could be heard as the walls reverberated with energy. A fiery wave of energy blasted out from the circle and runes began to glow upon the columns climbing to the ceiling where a large crystal diamond rested. Golden runes could be seen within. A white beam shot forth from the center of the circle and spread out to within a foot of the council. Shapes began to appear from within the light and moments later the light folded in on itself. Within a burst of blue energy the light disappeared leaving everyone momentarily blinded. The young heirs both male and female alike stood in the center of the room in wonder. They looked at the elders around them questionly, then to each other.
"I am Phaedra, the Supreme Elder and they are the Supreme Council of Elders." Phaedra announced, "We have summoned you here because you have been chosen for a very special mission. Relax, and I will explain to you why you have been summoned here."
The young ones listened intently as Phaedra explained what had been decreed and where the young ones would fit in. Kaelar could tell the young ones were confused and had some serious questions, so he stepped up to take the floor.
"You chosen few are now Universal Galactic Knights." he replied, "You will harness the elemental, planetary, and cosmic powers of your planets and like your Genesian and Zodiac counterparts, you will also be the royalty of your planets in the universal alliance."
"When the time comes as tradition dictates," Phaedra continued, "The powers of the Galactic Knights will be passed down from one generation to the other until the evil is gone from this plane forever."
The young ones gathered to discuss their options while the elders waited for their answer. Finally a young man wearing the royal uniform of Pheonicia faced the council and stepped up from the rest of the group.
"My name is Jaryon of Phoenicia." the young man said, "I have been chosen as the leader of this group as well as the envoy. We have discussed what you have said and requested at length. Speaking not only for myself but for the entire group, we are at your command Queen Phaedra." Phaedra and the Council of Elders all breathed a sigh of relief. With one more spread of magic, the young heirs received their powers, weapons and uniforms.
"There are rules and regulations that must be followed." Phaedra said, "One, never use your powers for personal gain, two, your powers are to be used for defense and never attack and three, your hero identities must remain a secret except to each other and your most trusted allies."
"We will always be here should you ever need us." Darius added, "But remember, your true strength lies in your connection more as a team. You all have your individual strengths but your greatest strength lies together in your teamwork."
"You have a new destiny that will pass down through the generations." She continued, "Take care of each other and may God always be with you through your journey."
Within the barrier, the former Knights, now the universal council of elders were kept for their own safety. Twenty members of council one from each planet each with twenty knights from each planet all together. Many more planets joined the alliance including the mysterious Darkonia which was an alliance of planets of their own. As the years passed, the Universal Galactic Alliance grew in numbers as well as strength. In the solar system of Genesia, on the central planet of Eartheria, a new war was about to be unleashed. Lano the king of Darkonia met with Jaryon the King of Galaxia and Micah the king of Genesia. The tension was so thick, it could be cut with a dagger.
"An evil force from outside our known universe is planning a full invasion of Genesia." Lano announced, "Micah of Genesia's Lunaria and the leader of the Genesian Alliance has come here for our help in this fight. He has come here on behalf of the Genesian and the Zodiac Knights."
"The evil outside our known universe is a band of mercinaries known as Primordians." Karenity added, "They appeared several years ago in an attempt to take over the solar system. The Knights and our allies have done what they can to keep the Primordians at bay, but we have had many casualties from the very start of this whole thing."
"The Primordians will not rest until they have taken over the universe." Micah said, "If there is anyway for you to help us and the Genesians defeat this evil you have our gratitude. We are apart of your Galaxian Alliance."
"Their main brand of warfare is magic, technology and machines." Karenity added, "Our people continue to face off with them but they can not hold out forever. We need your help Jaryon not just for the sake of our solar system but also for the entire universe."
"I will gather all of the Galaxian warrior and ask for volunteers to go on this mission." King Jaryonis replied, "It will be risky but the Galaxian Starfleet will pull together and come to the aid of Genesia, you will have help. General Sarbo, I want you to alert the Galaxian High Command. We have been given a very special mission."
