"They
want us to what?" Usagi asked.
"We need
to do a public service announcement at the end of the episode," Makoto
read from a notice she was holding.
"It's supposed to be called 'Sailor Says' or something."
"A public service announcement?" Rei asked. Makoto nodded. "From Usagi?"
Rei continued. Again Makoto nodded.
Rei raised an
eyebrow and was about to comment when Minako broke in, "Funny, I would
have thought that Sailor Mercury would have been a better choice for something
like that."
Rei glared at
Minako for stealing her line and Makoto said, "Yeah that's what I
said."
Rei, Makoto,
Minako and Usagi all looked at Ami who was reading 'A Brief History of Time'
and ignoring the other girls. Rei got bored
with staring at Ami and took the notice from Makoto's hand. "A public service
announcement that teaches children something to make their lives better. And they want Usagi to say it." Rei shook
her head. "I have a very bad
feeling about this." Usagi glared
at her and started creeping closer.
"So is
this supposed to be about anything?" Minako asked.
Rei looked
closer at the notice and said, "No, it looks like it has to relate to
today's episode. What happened in
today's episode?"
Usagi stopped
edging towards Rei and thought for a minute.
"Hmmm.
Minako's friend from England
showed up because she thought that Minako was dead, but found out that she
really isn't. Then she became a Youma
and attacked us with weird multicolor butterflies. We turned her back to normal and Minako forgave
her for stealing the guy she had a crush on." Usagi paused for a moment then said, "I
think that's it."
Minako
shrugged and said, "Yeah, pretty much."
"What can
we tell children to make their lives better that relates to that story?"
Rei asked. Especially something that even
Usagi can't get wrong." The paper
flew into the air as Usagi tackled Rei.
Minako watched
the two fight for a moment than said, "Don't have
friends. They'll just steal the guys you
like." Makoto stared at
Minako. "What?" Minako asked
defensively.
"It
sounds like someone's still bitter," Makoto said.
Minako
glowered at her and said, "All right, you think of something better."
Makoto rubbed
her chin in thought, then looked over at Ami for help. Ami was still ignoring everyone else while
reading. Makoto sighed and hesitantly
said, "Um, don't trust anyone over 30?" Rei and Usagi stopped fighting and stared at
her. Minako stopped glowering and stared
at her. Ami even looked up from her book
to stare at Makoto. "Not original
enough?" She asked.
Ami shook her
head and went back to her book. "I
was expecting some reference to your Sempai," Rei said.
"Yeah, so
was I," Usagi said. "Wait, I
got it." Usagi jumped up, looked
directly at the camera which zoomed in on her face. "Kids, Youma attacks are really rare, so
if you're getting attacked by multicolored butterflies then it means you're on acid
and should stop because drugs are bad."
Off camera the sound of a book hitting the floor was heard. Usagi kept smiling and staring at the
camera. "Am I supposed to say
anything else?" she finally mumbled.
From off
camera Rei whispered, "Just say 'Sailor Moon Says' and giggle."
Usagi looked off
camera and exclaimed, "What? That's
stupid."
"I didn't
make this up. What do you want to
say?"
"Hmm."
Usagi crossed her arms and lowered her chin to her chest as she
thought. Suddenly her head snapped up,
she looked back at the camera and said, "Tsukino hikariwa ai no
message."
"What's
that supposed to mean?" Makoto said from off camera.
"I don't
know, I just like the way it sounds," Usagi said as the camera faded to
black.
Note: "Tsukino hikariwa ai no message" is the
phrase said at the end of the next episode preview in the Japanese
version of Sailor Moon.
