Author's Comments:
The first line and title are taken from the book "Fahrenheit 451" by Ray Bradbury. My professor told me about an old prompt she'd used, which was using this line as a the first line of a story. I was stuck on something to write (we'd just been told to write something) and went ahead and used that for inspiration.
I like this well enough, but it's not among my favorites. Something else I did when I was a bit stumped was base the two characters off two that I was familiar with, so these guys bear some similiarities to Rei and Jadeite from Sailor Moon. However, they really served as a bit more inspiration than anything else, so this is quite fic.
