Summary:
Winter had not been kind to Japan. In a few short months, the air had become biting and the sky gloomy with clouds threatening snow. There was also a sadness in the air, a deep depression that seemed to settle over the city of Juuban. There were some who attributed this feeling to the gray sky that had settled over the skyscrapers and homes, schools and parks. However, there were others – a small group of people – who felt that the sadness that had overtaken the city was coming from the broken hearts of two people who had been brought together by a miracle and separated by the very same magic.

Author's Comments:
I don’t know if this is an AU of THE break up, or if it is an AU of another break up that we don’t know about as readers/viewers. But I knew that it needed to be winter; winter always makes me sad, and I wanted to write something sad.
This is more a character study than a full blown fic. It is too long to be a drabble, but that is really the feel that it has.

I loved this. I loved how this story like their relations just lingers in the air unresolved and "unfinished". Even though there is an ending, it's not finished. Their love isn't finished. Brilliant. |
