Author's Comments:

Once again, a short piece I wrote for a writing challenge. The challenge was to take three simple sentences that were given and flesh them out into a full action scene. It turned out so well, and I liked it so much, that I added an ending and decided to submit it as a story.

*Sigh* Why can't there be more Usagi/Rei friendship ficlets out there? I couldn't get enough of this little one shot... Realistic analysis of their "tough love" relationship; not too sappy but just the right touch of angst and drama to propel the plot along. I feel like you capture both of the characters' essences perfectly, with the notable inclusion of Usagi sneaking into the hospital simply to be present for her friend. That's something I can totally envision :-)

You should have written all the Usagi/Rei scenes in the anime. o_o
