Reviews on Dreams Diverged by Kihin Ranno

Review by Bella*Luna 2006-10-04

The whole double edged sword thing.

I always thought about this..not necessarily *this*; but the idea of the Senshi choosing their civilian dreams over those of their destiny. Always wondered how they would work out. Obviously they would all be cut short, seeing as how there would be no one to fight the coming wars (since no one can replace the Senshi).

But Minako's dream....it was do big, so extravagant, and so many big stars do go down this road. It makes sense. I wonder what she would choose on her third try though. Knowing that the outcome of both is something that is less that satisfactory.

A vey thought provoking piece. I liked it. Good job.

Author's response:

Yet another review I neglected to respond to. *sigh* I fail most heartily.

This is another piece I'd like to go back and alter one of these days. I think it would have been more interesting to see Minako's deterioration in both scenarios as opposed to just seeing the end results. But not everything gets to be brilliant when I have time constraints. ^^;

On her third try I think she would have stuck with the Senshi to be honest. At least that way she wouldn't be alone. And the main problem with that scenario was that she was bitter about not having the chance to fulfill her dream. Knowing that she had the chance and that it didn't work out so well, I think she'd try to look on the bright side. She'd still be sad sometimes, but not necessarily embittered.

Thanks very much for your review!
