Reviews on Morphine Allergy by Starsea

Review by Ashaela 2007-06-29

I actually read this a while back, but I don't think I ever left a review. It's one of the few stories that's really stuck with me; almost haunting.

What really gets to me is Aya's description of death as a cleansing process, providing wisdom at the same time as a release from the painful memories. Combined with the 'morphine allergy', it suggests that the four of them might never be free from the memories that follow them.... I think it is very much a romance in the classic sense.

That's one of the best compliments I could have received.

Yes, I had that idea from Greek mythology and the idea that you had to drink the waters of the Lethe if you wanted to be reborn so you would forget everything you'd learned in death.

I don't think so. It's best to let sleeping dogs lie in these matters and they're not the kind of men who'll do that.

A romance in the classic sense? It does have the supernatural element and the fallen heroes... *muses* Interesting.
