It's funny, I always felt that you and many other writers do a better job of giving the characters depth and volume than the original author of the manga. I'm always in awe of your characterization of Minako. I never really know what to make of her as a character. I think I have an understanding of her character but then tI'm completely thrown off. She obviously seems to show some sincere feelings for Mamoru like here, then there is Kunzite and of course Rei. It seems like Minako is restless and it's ironic to me, that Venus doesn't seem to have a concept of real love.

Author's response:

I think poor Naoko just didn't have time to develop all 10+ main characters. She barely had time to draw! With fic, there's more time and opportunity to explore outside of the plot lines Naoko had to follow.

Yeah, Minako's pretty unpredictable. She's got a wild nature. Minako's main issue with love I feel is that her biggest example is Usagi/Mamoru, which is pretty unbelievable standard to hold herself up to. She's never going to find something that mirrors that relationship. This might be why Kunzite is initially attractive to her, but then she realizes that that's silly and falls in love with him for real reasons. But if she doesn't get Kunzite, then she's left with the Miracle Romance as her goal, which she's doomed to never achieve. So what might she do in response? Break it up.

Poor thing.

Very cute. I like the interaction between the two, though I'm not a Minako/Mamoru fan.

Author's response:

Most people aren't. I'm just weird. XP Thanks for reviewing!
