I like that.
It was always a little surprising that Harry hadn't been warped or maimed by the situations that he had always found himself in. By the fact that danger and evil seemed to find him, seek him out.
Not surprising that it may have dwelled deep in his soul, biding its time until there was no one left to defeat and he could rise.
Very good.

Thanks so much, Shel! It's an angle I often take in my HP fanfics - the 'what if' angle - most frequently, what if Harry hadn't turned out all rosy and happy. I guess my point is that spending your entire life trying to eradicate one person, even for a good cause, still damages your soul in some way, and it's unfair to expect Harry to remain untouched by it. I try to show that. Thanks again for the great review!
