Reviews on The Burning Seasons by Vayleen

Review by firalyn 2007-12-16

I've never actually read a Zelda fanficton before. I played (but mostly watched my older brother play) the Nintendo 64 version of Ocarina of Time years ago, and loved it. I've also never written a review here on the .moon site, so please bear with me?

So I really enjoyed this story. Zelda's down-to-earth view of things, even with her strangely prophetic instincts, is a good trait for her. The mob connection wasn't one I'd really thought to make before, since her original character is a princess, but I guess they're kind of the same thing, considering the storyline. And what can I say about the stoic-seeming Link? Small, but deadly... I really liked how you had Zelda describe him when talking about how, despite his size, there was something about him that was utterly intimidating.

I look forward to reading more of their interaction. Trying to make friends with will by no means be an easy task, but Zelda seems more than up to the challenge. As for the other characters... honestly, some of the names were vaguely familiar, but I couldn't really place their characters from the game (it was too long ago, I suppose, and I'm sure they differ with each version of the game).

Anyway, I hope you continue this story, because I'll be waiting for the next chapter.
