Summary:Talking to God?
Spirituality

I don’t know if You’re listening
If You’re truly there
I don’t know if You can hear me
If You even care
It is true that I’m a skeptic
Perhaps I shouldn’t waste my time
But someone said that speaking to You
Might make everything feel fine
I don’t believe in Your sins
Or that I’ll be saved if I repent
I don’t believe that a Father’s forgiveness
Is truly Heaven sent
I don’t feel that the preacher
Knows You personally
And can tell me how to live
And what kind of person I should be
What I do believe is that You are a friend
Someone that will listen when I am in need
Someone that will look on, not judging
Believing that I am infected with sin’s seed
What I believe is that You are an unbiased source
Not corrupted by society
True, honest, pure inspiration
Sent to those who are trying to see
You don’t have to be worshiped in a church
You don’t have to be worshiped at all
All You need is the faith of people
To remain pure and strong
I don’t believe in religion
I don’t believe in organized faith
I believe in spirituality
And the choices that each person makes
I don’t have to see You
To believe that You are there
But I do have to be able to have faith on my own terms
In order to believe that You truly care
