Summary:A sonnet I randomly wrote in senior year of high school that I recycled for Intro to Creative Writing class.
Sonnet Unnumbered (Because This Is the First, Last, and Only Sonnet Ever to be Written by This Author)

So why does man still stop to say he loves,
Resisting passions not to be ignored?
Why cast out directives from there above
And not revealing who he does adore?
The heart does know of want and brain of need.
Desires fuel and yearnings drive insane,
Yet fickle minds do often supercede.
And hence his lips are often left unclaimed.
Do we as people truly fear so much
The price to pay for everlasting bliss?
Too fearful to speak out and beg for touch
Of one you love and say, “Nothing to miss?”

Fear not the pain of this much anguished woe,
But love as if there is no word called no.
