Summary:A mother watches her little girl
Little One

Gurgle-gurgle
Coo-coo
Soft sounds from my arms.

My heart fills up with joy,
Little belly fills.

Misty eyes look up in love,
Trust shining brightly out.

Ma-ma-ma
Da-da-da
Working little mind.

Finger points to nose, eye, and mouth,
Asking “wazat?”

I answer soft and slow,
Satisfying little minds.

Yawn
Sigh
Little eyes fall slowly shut,

I hold her close to my chest,
Wonder at this small life.

Little hands hold soft blond curls,
Slumber comes at last.
