Aconite…
Aromantula…
Aging…
There…Amortenia!
Pomona Sprout shifted in her seat as she read more about the topic. Potions has never been her best subject in school, but lately she found herself brushing up on it to make a good impression on him.
Herbology was more her thing since she loved gardening so much. But he would sometimes seek her knowledge on certain plants when they are in potions class together.
She looked out the window of the library. It was such a nice day that she wondered if he could be outside. She imagined him sitting under the tree, like he normally does, reading through his old books. His stern expression remained unchanged as he flips from page to page, yet she could see the excitement and brilliance behind his dark eyes as he analyzed his information.
“Pomona?” came a low voice. She looked over to see Lily Evans whispering to her. “What are you doing later today?” she asked as she slid into a seat next to her.
“I have a History paper to finish. Then I was going to check up on my plants at the greenhouse. Plus I need to study for-“
“Potions?” Lily gave her a sly grin. Pomona could tell what she meant. “ I don’t know why you just can’t talk to him. You and Severus have so much in common.”
Pomona felt a little embarrassed to talk about her crush. “I don’t think he would be interested in me, Lily.”
“What do you mean?”
“Snape seems like the type to go for pretty girls…like you. Plus, he’s from Slytherin. You know how those snakes feel about Mud Bloods.”
Never mind that! Pomona, you’re just as beautiful as those flowers you take care of. And forget what those Slyths say. Half of them will be in Azkaban when they get out of school. Besides, Snape is just as smart as you are. So I doubt that he’s asking you all these questions to get help.”
“Wh-What are you getting at?”
“You’ll see.” Lily quickly gathered her books and got out the way. Pomona looked over to see where she was going. But then her eyes caught sight of Snape walking towards her table.
