Sometimes Minako wishes she were Sleeping Beauty.
She doesn't think she'd mind living with three doting fairies (better than an absent father and a mother who hates you, she jokes to herself). And as far as fairy tale fates go, a long nap's hardly the worst circumstance she could find herself in.
Her head gets light when she thinks of it. To sleep without dreaming, without waking, without worrying. To sleep without monsters in her head. To sleep far away from the witch who put her there, and for once – just once – to have someone care enough to save her.
