Summary:He knew there was no logic in it

He knew he really shouldn't be doing this. Common sense, logic, rationale - whatever she wanted to call it - all of these things spoke against it. Rationally speaking (and oh, god, he was quoting her!), he knew that what he was doing was ridiculous. There was no logic in sitting outside her building, watching to see how long her date stayed.

His phone beeped; a text. He opened it curiously, seeing that it was from her and his heart pounded.

'Go away, Booth.'

His jaw dropped but the phone beeped again before he could respond.

'I can see you out there.'

She really was going to kick his ass for this, he acknowledged silently as he put his SUV into gear and pulled away from the curb, his eyes darting toward the window where a dim figure stood, waving. If he concentrated, he imagined that he could see the exasperation on her face.

Yep, he was definitely getting his ass kicked. For some reason, the thought didn't bother him as much as it should have.

I liked this one, too, they bounce off each other so well...
