The wind was blowing. The wind always blew when she thought about him. Worse than that it was raining. That made the loneliness she felt even more pronounced. He was gone. Had been for months. She tried her hardest to think about what she was doing, but the rain pelting the window by her head was distracting her. Softly a cat purred behind the chair she was slumped over in after a long day.

“I don't love you anymore,” he had said. The words had cut her like a knife. She left after that, but the scene played over and over in her head like a sick record that continually skipped.

The weather always brought out the worse side of her. When the moon was visible, she thought of him. When it rained, she thought of him. The only time she was happy was in the sun. He had never been one that cared much for the sun. His pale skin was a testament to that.

A soft knock came from down stairs.

“Just the wind..”

For a second, her heart had skipped a beat. The knock came again.

She rose and descended the stairs, wand drawn without need; the war had been over for two years.
The knock came again. She turned the knob slowly. Fear had consumed her. Fear she had imagined it, and gotten her hopes up again.

This time she was not disappointed.

“Oh Draco.....”

But words failed him at the sight of her. Long gone were his thoughts of pure blood status being the most important thing. He finally saw her as the lovely creature she had always been. He embraced her. He gently cupped her face and softly pressed his lips against hers. She pulled away and led him upstairs. She stopped only to look out the window. He found his voice.

“Hermoine, I know words cannot really compensate for what I've done... But I'm here now and I'll never leave you again.”

It had stopped raining....
