I like her. She is very evenly painted. Her hair is awesome on the right side, very pretty, drawn in a natural way. The left side looks a little off. I would assume you're trying to get the whole floaty-water look (like Ariel in The Little Mermaid) but it looks like there is too much hair. It doesn't match the length portrayed by the right side.
The details are good. On the glove/elbow area, where you say you had the most trouble, it flows really well. Painted evenly...doesn't look like there is any noticeable displacement because of the giant gouge. The shadowing is great and there are a lot of people who draw scary, tallon fingers instead of normal, human fingers. Yours are not scary or taloneske, they look verysoft, portraying the idea that she is playing the harp very well.
Very good job.

Artist's response:
I noticed the problems on the left-side hair, too: I think it has a lot to do with the sharp angle of ascension, the thickness of the lines, and each clumb being about a millimeter too large. Or, just too clumpy.
Future projects with anti-gravity hair will definitely be worked on with greater care (and less laziness - I always have a problem with putting down the paint and then deciding not to fix a problem because it would take too much effort. Arg).
Thank you for taking the time to critique this! I'm glad to know that you think the fingers aren't too awkwardly pointy, or the gouge too distracting.
(And, hey, I just found two paintbrushes yesterday, so this weekend I think I'm going to paint another soldier. Yay!)
