Comments on Desire by Araya

Review by Loki 2008-04-15

As always Lady Araya, a powerful snapshot, and I am left feeling for Setsuna, she is a character I just gravitate to and only one little thing, 'struggled' should be, 'struggling' aside from that, pure perfection! *hugs and bows* L.

Author's response:

Fixing my mistakes! Thank you so much Loki! *hugs* You are keeping me busy tonight! =P

"Thos who restrain their desires, do so because their's is weak enough to be restrained." - William Blake

I like what you've written to go with this quote but I don't see it as personifying the quote, I see it as going against it.

The senshi did as they felt they must, squashing their own hopes and dreams for something that they were never told they must do. Pluto was born to be the guardian, she was born to do as she does, but she still craves that which she cannot have.

I think that your vignette proves how much stronger than her desires she really is, not necessarily how weak her desires are. It proves her ability as a soldier, her dedication as a soldier, but it also shows she is human.

Good job ^.^

I love this story and William Blake is brilliant. They, Usagi, Mamoru and the senshi all had free-will. Who told them they had to prosper on to the future while they still lived in the past? They all are weak minded. The fact that you point out Plutos desires but clenched this Vignette with that Blake quote was perfect!
