Well, my love, it certainly has been quite some time since I've gone back and read the beginning of this story - I'm usually too concerned with the upcoming chapters to worry with the beginning.
It struck me very forcefully upon this reading just how much I borrowed from you for FTL. And as I reread this opening chapter, I'm reminded of Love&Hate, and how much it begins to sound like this, even so far as being centered on Oliver Wood - and I'm hesitant to continue for fear that you'll think me writing too much like you! (cause I could ever write that much description in a single passage, right?)
It's truly a wonderful beginning, dearling - it attaches the interest of any who read it.
